We are off early this morning to pick up a rental car and drive to Normandy. We think it will take us about 3 hours. Today we will visit the American Cemetery and Mont St Michele. Tomorrow, June 6th we will take the guided D-Day tour. We should have a lot of good pictures for you when we return this weekend.
We stopped by another of our neighborhood bistros, L'Ami Vin, last night for dinner. After a delightful meal the waiter brought us a large creme brûlée, and then set it on fire! It was delicious.
On the way back to the apartment we passed this lovely garden and the poppies were in full bloom.
NOTE: To make the pictures bigger without distortion simply tap the picture with one finger. Spreading the picture with two fingers makes it bigger but it is not clear in the larger size.
