Flea Market

Wow!  What a surprise, a flea market in our own neighborhood.  We were on our way to the grocery store to prepare for our evening meal for company and happened upon a flea market.  Of course I couldn't tear myself away from all the fasincating things--such a feast for the eyes.  Tom said, "You are so attracted to junk."  Yes, I am! We walked along and saw a bunch of pictures lined up against  the wall.  They were really nice work.  Even  Mr.anti-junk man was rather taken.  We examined the couple we really liked and asked prices.  The small landscape was 10€, SOLD!  The larger one, the beautiful rural house was 50€, we'll think about it.  We went on to do our shopping and came back home, but we couldn't stop thinking about the beautiful watercolor--we had to go back.  We discussed on the way what we might offer,  we'll say 40€.  When we got back, we were glad to see it was still there.  Tom inquired as to the price--"80€" he was told.  What! An hour ago it was 50--what happened?  Tom said, "What about 40?" The guy said "50", Tom said "40", the guy said "45" Tom said "40", the guy said "Ok"...   So happily, we brought our beautiful bargain home.
