Finding an Apple in a haystack

Today we are in search of the Apple store to find a cord to connect the Canon camera we brought, but hadn't needed until now, to the iPad.  We took old 95 (the bus) to the Louvre stop and walked over to Rue de Rivoli.  The store address is 99 Rue de Rivoli.  When we got off the bus at 156,  we were actually looking right at it, but didn't know it and took off in the opposite direction.  We walked all the way down to 96, but not a hint of the Apple store in sight.  Also, we learned the street numbers do not correspond on the opposite sides of the street, how can you find anything?  We hopped on a bus instead of walking all the way back about 30 blocks.  In our information, it said it was located at the Carrousel du Louvre.  We spotted a sign that said that, and thought what the heck we might as well try.  Well guess what?  A complete underground shopping mall with a tunnel to the Louvre including a Fossil store, a Starbucks, and wa-la an Apple Store--and thousands of school kids getting ready to tour the Louvre.  The guy knew exactly what we were looking for, we bought it, and made our way out to check out the mall.  We looked in the store windows including a beautiful display of Lalique fish, sorta in the colors of the French flag.  Musicians were setting up in the center mall area by the tunnel entrance to the Louvre.  In Paris, there is music everywhere.

Back home for a late lunch at a Chinese bistro in our neighborhood.  Yummy!
