Trip to Chateaux de Sceaux

We had a change of plans for our Giverny trip.  We thought we should wait for better weather, not so rainy.  Michele came to our apartment about 10:30, and we set out for the train station.  She had suggested we visit the Chateaux de Sceaux.  It's about a 45 minute train ride south of Paris.  The day started out cool and nice.  We arrived in the quaint and beautiful town of Sceaux.   We consulted the maps and were able to find the chateaux rather easily.  We strolled around the perfectly manicured gardens and visited the chateaux.  We found an outside cafe on the grounds and had a light lunch including a crepe.  Just as we were finishing, the rain started to fall.  We really wanted to see the Grand Canal on the grounds, so we pressed on in the rain.  In spite of the weather, it was well worth the trip.
