Place de la Concorde

The Place de la Concorde is Paris's largest square.  It was the center of the French Revolution.  In the 1830's the square was redesigned with the Luxor Obelisk, an ancient obelisk from Ramses II's temple at Luxor. The 75-foot tall obelisk was a gift from Egypt in 1826.
