LUXEMBOURG GARDENS

Tuesday, May 7,2013 Today we joined the locals in the beautiful Luxembourg gardens (Jardin de Luxembourg).  This is the most popular park in Paris.  There are formal terraces, wide walkways and an octagonal pool.  There are open-air cafes,  a puppet theater, playgrounds and tennis courts.  The gardens are associated with the Palais de Luxembourg , now home  of  the French Senate. The weather was so beautiful, there were hundreds of people out enjoying the sun, strolling the gardens and picnicking in the park.
