We were very excited to be able to see the family farm where Michele and her brothers and sister grew up. In addition to Olivier, she has another brother, Guy and a sister, Martine. Her parents owned a commercial pig farm in Juvigne, which is about 40km from Laval. Over the years sections of the farm have been sold, but her brother, Guy and his family still live there. Guy no longer raises pigs but he has sheep on the property. Some of the old stone buildings are still there. The old water pump has been remodeled as a flower container. Things have been brought up to date, but the lake probably still looks the same as it did many years ago, when the family picnicked and swam there. Tom said he would have loved to have had a lake like that when he was growing up. This is typical French countryside at its best.
