Scouting Trip to Amalfi

Today we started slow.  Tom made us another one of his fabulous breakfasts.  We ate it on the terrace over looking the Mediterranean Sea--just superb!

We are begining to settle in here, unpacking, learning the kitchen (how does this cooktop work?) and the hot and cold faucets in the shower.

There's a lot to learn every time we make a move.  This one is working out nicely.  We have two bedrooms and two bathrooms for when our company from Dallas comes to visit.

After lunch, we programmed Amalfi into the GPS and pressed "confirm."  Because we are on the side of a mountain, the roads are very winding and twisting.  Tom is an excellent driver even when things are close--cars, scooters or mountainsides.

Amalfi is hopping!  People are walking, eating, shopping enjoying the sun.  The problem is, no parking available.

It's just a scouting trip anyway.  It's like a movie, with the beautiful cliff side houses and the magic blue wtater filled with boats and yachts.

We found a place to turn around and repeat the process.

We've seen a small bar just a few steps from our apartment  and decided to give it a try.

One step inside and we think it might be our new "go to" place.

It's only been open two weeks, so it's fresh and clean and bright.  A brother and sister own it.  They are young and enthusiastic.

We each had a Peroni (beer) and Louisa brought us some snacks to go along.  We will definitely be back.
