Au Lapin Agile was one of Picasso's  favorite haunts.  In the early days, he had so little money he often had to trade his paintings for food.

When he became more well known, he moved out of the rickety squalor into much better accommodations in Montmartre.  He moved into #11 Boulevard de Clichy, in the picture below, with his mistress.
