AND NOW PARIS

Monday morning we packed up and drove the van to the Rome airport. After turning in our car and saying goodbye to our friends we checked in and waited for our flight to Paris. We got the car turned in and through security so fast we had a lot of time to kill. The flight was on time and smooth. Our Paris friends Michele and her son Stephane picked us up at the Charles de Gaulle airport and we really appreciated the ride. The Paris apartment is just right for us. It is small but has everything we need.
There is a double door street entrance,
that opens into a beautiful inside courtyard,
and the door to the apartment is bright blue.
The kitchen is compact, but so well organized it has everything we need; a refrigerator, cooktop, oven, dishwasher, toaster, microwave and all the utinsels we could want. We also have a washer/dryer combination.
The living room is comfortable with a dining table off to the side.
The bedroom has a comfortable bed with a nice bathroom. Inside the double doors it is very quiet, but outside Paris is bustling.
This is a nice neighborhood with everything we need close by. We made a quick trip to the grocery store for a few essentials. After a good night's rest we fixed a hearty breakfast and set out to see a couple of our favorite Paris memories. The apartment is located very close to the magnificent Arc de Triomphe.
It's beautiful from every angle.
The eternal flame is for fallen French soilders of WWI.
From the Arc we looked down the Champs-Elysees towards the Tuileries Garden.
You can't say you've been to Paris until you've seen the Eiffel Tower. So we're off to make that happen!
Still breathtaking every time it comes into view! Even though we've taken many pictures of the Tower, there's always a need for up to date views.
We found a typical French sidewalk cafe for lunch.
It was a delight. The food was good and the people watching was fun.
