AMALFI, RELISH and SERAFINA

Wednesday is the day to go to the town of Amalfi. We boarded a bus for our trip to town because it is so crowded there and the streets are so narrow it is difficult to drive and almost imposible to find a place to park. We shopped for a while
and passed by the famous Cathedral of Amalfi. In Italian it is the Cattedrale di Sant'Andrea. Dedicated to the Apostle Saint Andrew whose remains are interred there.
As beautiful as Amalfi is, it is hot and crowded and we have special dinner plans. So, back on the bus and home. On our way to dinner we stopped off at a cute place near where we stayed six years ago to have a drink and say hello to a friend. Raphael had just opened his new place called "Relish" when we were there before. He makes the BEST cosmopolitan in the world. He didn't open until 7:30 and we were early so we waited a few minutes for him to get there.
We all had a quick drink and said goodbye and walked down to take a quick look at the view from the "Walk of Love".
There is a great view of the small town of Priano.
Back in the van for the short drive to Serafina, an agritourismo restaurant, for dinner. We ate there six years ago and wanted our friends to share the experience. Dominic and his family present a multicourse dinner totally from their farm. Everything from meats of all kinds, vegetables, wine, and pasta to desserts and even three kinds of their own limoncellos are produced right there. The family, Dominic, Mama and daughter Rosa greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the operation.
Rosa is in charge of the kitchen and produced a five course meal fit for a king.
Everyone enjoyed our evening with Dominic and his family. We had a most elegant and delicious Italian dinner.
