Tom fixed us a wonderful breakfast to get us started. We had been to the grocery store earlier in the week and the butcher sliced the most beautiful bacon for us. Today we had bacon and eggs, toast and jelly plus some wonderful local fruit.
This morning, we just hung out and enjoyed the terrace and the sunshine.
For lunch, Tom outdid himself with BLTs , more of that delicious bacon, local organic lettuce and tomatoes bursting with flavor.
The afternoon called for napping and reading and general relaxing. On our terrace, we can hear the sounds of the area.
There is a noisy rooster that crows all day, a donkey that brays from time to time, boat motors we can here from the sea below, horns from impatient drivers and our neighbors visiting with each other.
Tom made some fresh squeezed lemonade.
We are amazed by the gardens growing just below our terrace. Our neighbor's tend their grapevines, tomatoes, lemons, onions, figs and other garden items everyday.
We never cease to be amazed by the passing vessels below us
or the beauty all around within our sight.
God is in his heaven and all is right with the world, at least in this little piece of paradise.
