On to Edinburgh

We left our apartment in London, having had a wonderful week full of great sights, new adventures and yummy food.  A taxi took us to the King's Cross Station to catch the train to Edinburgh.  The station was very modern and bright.

The trip was about 4 hours long through the most beautiful country side.  There was mile after mile of yellow rapeseed fields.  We were told that rapeseed oil was very heathy, better than olive oil.

We also saw the North Sea along the way.

A taxi took us to the apartment on Heriot Row.  The apartment is fabulous!  There are 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, a living room, study, TV room, and large kitchen with breakfast/dining area.

Many famous and accomplished people have lived on Hreiot Row.  Robert Louis Stevenson lived a few doors down from the apartment.

The best part about being here, is that our dear friends from home have joined us!  Pat and Barbara Heaney and George and Bj Eastman have arrived!

After a quick tour of the apartment, we all chose our respective rooms and had a light supper.

They fell into bed (after a nine hour plane flight from Dallas to London, a two hour layover and a two hour flight to Edinburgh).  Tomorrow we begin our Edinburgh adventure!
