City of Lights

We went to sit on the steps of Sacre Couer to see Paris become "The City of Lights".  With daylight savings time, it takes a long time to get dark enough to see the lights.  We found seats on the steps among all the Paris devotees and tourists.

Always looking for a way to make a euro, young men were making their way through the crowds selling single beers from their 12 pack box.

We were treated to music by local musicians who were also set up on the steps.

It was after 10:30pm before it was dark enough to really see the city in lights laid out before us.

The after dark vendors appeared with all the light up toys.

Magnificent Sacre Couer looks even more so lighted.

We were serenaded by the Metro musicians on the way home.
