Toboggans x 2

Finally, a sunshine blue sky day.  Good day for an outside activity.  There are two toboggan runs very close to us.  The Alpsee-Coaster in Immenstadt is the longest run in Germany.  It's 3 km or 1.8 miles long.  We found the Alpsee and had two choices.

One, we could ride the lift up and toboggan down, or two, we could climb the mountain and toboggan down.  Guess what. We chose to ride and ride.  We thought it might take us forever to walk up.  We paid 10.50 € each to ride and ride.  The ride and the view were both worth it.

At the top, we were given our instructions and off we went.

Tom went first.  You have control over your toboggan with handles to slow it down or speed it up.  You want to slow it down on those curves!

We both had a great time and we're glad we did it.

We had a nice lunch right there at the toboggan area.
Well, having one ride under our belt and all the confidence, we're off to try another one.  The Hundlebahn is smaller and it's free (because we have an Oberstaufen card).

On this one, the toboggan is mechanically pulled up the hill, but you still control your tobaggan on the ride down.  Forward is fast, pull back for slow.

What a rush!  Such great fun.  It looks like a few have lost their hats.

On the way home we saw llamas and goats, and were grateful for a perfect day.
